We can't tell if this is a case of camera angles, depth perception or the fact that Maria Sharapova hot is an exceptionally tall woman, but in this photo her black gold mini looks extremely small for her.
In fairness to the tennis star, this Jay Ahr creation does feel like a tennis dress gone very, very sexy. The flared skirt is similar to ones we've see this fashion lover rock on the court, and the structured top has a very athletic feel, but the real vibe we get is baby in a skirt-attached bathing suit!

Length (or lack thereof) aside, that's the real issue with this ensemble. It's too girly on the bottom for the hot, hot heat on top. It's like the blonde beauty is dressing out of two sides of her brain. One the international sex symbol for the stuffiest of sports and the other a sweet little dress lover who wanted to wear a gold party dress for her big day.
Their forces combined make Maria look like a very confused giant, albeit a gorgeous one. Nevertheless, Maria Sharapova knows how to draw a crowd. Having won the 2014 French Open women's title after defeating Romania's Simona Halep, the 27-year-old celebrated in style with a Trocadero photo shoot in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The Russian tennis star claimed her second crown at Roland Garros and fifth grand slam of her career with a 6-4 7-6 (7-5) 4-6 victory on Saturday afternoon, fending off fourth-seed Halep's fightback to lift the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen trophy in front of a packed centre court crowd.
The victory adds to her triumph in the same tournament back in 2012, and follows her 2008 Australian Open title, her 2006 US Open crown and her 2004 Wimbledon success where she burst onto the scene as a fresh faced 17-year-old talent.
With Wimbledon around the corner, Sharapova will be hoping to add a second crown at SW19 to her collection 10 years after last winning the tournament.
She said after the match: "I can't believe it. Seven or eight years ago I would never have thought that at 27 I would have won more titles at Roland Garros than at any other Grand Slam. This tournament means so much to me. It was a tournament when I was growing up that I wanted to win."
