  • Anthony-Harrelson Wedding Announcement

Grace Louise Anthony and Keith Wallace Harrelson were married Nov. 22 at First Baptist Church of Birmingham. The Rev. Scott Bowen of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church officiated the ceremony. A reception followed in the Grand Ballroom of The Club of Birmingham.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lee Anthony of Vestavia Hills. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. James Franklin Anthony and the late Mr. Anthony of Trussville and Mr. and Mrs. Winston Eugene Chapman Sr. of Center Point.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Royal Harrelson of Union City, Tenn. He is the grandson of Mrs. Royal C. Harrelson and the late Mr. Harrelson and the late Mr. and Mrs. William H. McDaniel, all of Oneonta.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless fit and flared gown by New York designer Jim Hjelm. Ivory, re-embroidered, French Alencon lace over taupe lining created the bodice. Tiers of oyster colored netting began at fingertip and cascaded over the skirt which swept to a chapel length train. Tiny crystals and beadwork framed each layer of the ruffled netting. Completing her ensemble was an ivory veil of illusion which had been worn by her mother. The veil was edged with motifs of ivory French Alencon lace which had been hand-beaded with pearls. She carried a bouquet of peonies, roses, and ranunculus, tied with a monogrammed handkerchief from her late grandfather.

  • Egypt cuts jail terms in 'gay wedding' case

Court reduces sentences given to eight men over gay wedding video that went viral over the Internet

An Egyptian appeals court Saturday reduced jail sentences given to eight men over a gay wedding video that went viral on the Internet to one year each, from three years.

Their arrests in September were part of a series of highly publicized raids targeting suspected homosexuals in the conservative country.

A lower court convicted them in November of broadcasting images that "violated public decency".

The men were detained after a video, filmed aboard a Nile riverboat, showed what prosecutors said was a gay wedding ceremony, with two men kissing, exchanging rings and cutting a cake with their picture on it.

The video received widespread attention on websites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The defendants' families, who were expecting their acquittal, screamed and wept on hearing the new sentences, according to an AFPreporter.

"They took away my heart," said the mother of one of the defendants as she slapped her face after the verdict.

Another woman whose brother was among the defendants screamed that his "future is finished".

Defense lawyer Emad Sobhi told AFP that the ruling was "full of loopholes" and would be appealed.

Homosexuality is not specifically banned under Egyptian law and the men were initially accused of debauchery.

That charge was dropped after an invasive anal exam of the men showed that they did not have receptive anal sex.

The defense repeatedly denied that the men were gay, and insisted that the lower court had caved in to popular pressure.

One of the defendants told a television talk show prior to their arrest that the video was recorded during a birthday party.

In the past, Egyptian homosexuals have been jailed on charges ranging from "scorning religion" to "sexual practices contrary to Islam," the country's dominant religion.

In April, a court sentenced four men accused of homosexuality to up to eight years in prison.

In another case, 26 men are on trial for alleged debauchery after they were arrested at a Cairo public bathhouse in a night-time raid on December 7.

  • Jessa Duggar Envious of Sister Jill’s House: ’19 Kids And Counting’ Feud Supposedly Rages On

Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar’s family feud still isn’t over, according to a recent report.

Reports on the sisters’ supposed dislike for one another first started surfacing after it was discovered that Jill wasn’t following Jessa on Twitter, and rumors of their sibling rivalry have spiraled out of control ever since. Now OK! Magazine is claiming that one of the 19 Kids and Counting stars’ many supposed spats involves their living arrangements.

According to the magazine’s source, Jessa Duggar is envious of the fancy house that Jill and husband Derick Dillard are living in. Jessa allegedly thinks it’s unfair that she and Ben Seewald have to live in a “secondhand house.”

“She’s used to Jill getting pampered. It doesn’t faze her at this point.”

It’s easy to see why Jessa Duggar would be jealous of her sister’s abode — Jim Bob Duggar gifted his second-oldest daughter with a $1.5 million, four-bedroom home after her June wedding (Jim Bob owned the property because he failed to flip it). Jessa’s wedding gift wasn’t quite as generous — she and Ben Seewald are currently occupying the “tiny tract home” where Josh Duggar and his wife Anna used to live. According to the Duggar Family Blog, it’s a two-bedroom, 960-square-foot cottage.

Jim Bob allegedly gifted Jill and Derick Dillard with the larger, 4,000-square-foot home because the 19 Kids and Counting patriarch believes that the couple will “fill that house with babies.” Perhaps he doesn’t think Jessa Duggar is as interested in producing grandkids as her sister is.

It’s also possible that Jessa believes she would have been given the larger home if she had married first — there had to be some reason she was in a rush to beat her sister to the altar.

According to Radar Online, a source told OK! that Jessa and Ben Seewald were not happy that Jill and Derick Dillard got married first. They started dating months before Jill and Derick did, so they felt that they should have wed before the Dillards. Jessa Duggar was allegedly irritated by all the attention that her sister received when she got married.

“Jessa is envious that Jill was the first Duggar daughter to get married.”

Jessa Duggar also felt like Jill stole her thunder when she got pregnant so soon after getting married — her wedding had to share the spotlight with Jill’s pregnancy. Because of this, the OK! source claims that all Jessa wants for Christmas is a positive pregnancy test (but would she really want to take the attention away from Jesus on his birthday?).

There’s a very good chance that these sister feud rumors aren’t true at all. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the sisters and their husbands have actually gone on a double date together since the rumors started. Jessa also didn’t leave Jill out of her holiday greeting on Instagram.
